I looked at some knobbly tyres for my shitty hybrid today (it has slicks at the moment - I fell off as soon as I stood on the pedals) and it will of course cost me £30-£40 for a set. I might as well just get a second-hand mountain bike, do you reckon?
Any suggestions or offers? If it matters then I'm about 6ft with relatively long legs, proportionally. I have to ride with a high saddle a very long way forward.
My official budget is £0 but I could be persuaded to up that a bit. Bikes I have bought myself as an "adult" cost me £50, £70, £10 and £40, respectively. Only the £40 one is still running now. But I don't want to spend much more than that anyway.
