Cycle couriers in increasing demand?
2 words - teh internetz

From what I see, Cycle Couriers are anything but style conscious. The style conscious cyclist is the "Italian Road cyclist."
Can't agree with that at all - messengers may not conform to stereotypical style, but in my experience are hugely style conscious...

OK, well I can't contain myself any longer, I must mention Black Rainbow Project in the appropriate thread. This IS the finest Messenger bag money can buy and worth every penny. Not only does it look mint, it is designed to perfection down to the finest detail.
An independent London based company that is healthily obsessed with making the best bags for cyclists, is well worth supporting. Looking forward to seeing the rest of the range. -

Could I be so bold as to ask someone paste the FB links for me? I'm not on FB, a PM would be great, or here.
Thanks very much

damn... looks fucking sick!
-
• #967
Is it true that they are priced at around £300+
ftfy
*absolutely worth it though. The raw materials alone cost as much as what a finished Grobag would've cost.

I'd just like to add two points, these are cheap bags, if you look at the quality of components, materials and craftsmanship on the bags they are unlike ANY other company.
Secondly these are not the same as Archie's Grobag, if you were to compare the two bags they are incomparable in looks and quality, just so people know these are two very different companies.

hopefully be getting me a hip pouch.

• #970
Do it, Joe.
You can carry all the usual gubbins and even though they're small, there's a feature that lets you carry all manner of larger things... a stowaway jacket, bottle of wine, a cat, some gloves etc. -

i dropped him an email.
hopefully pre-order one.
how much did you pay for yours? -

I should add a disclaimer in case someone tries to ride around town with a cat on their hip. I'm certain it would work, though.
MonsieurCitron, I haven't taken delivery yet as I'm unable to pay atm but after seeing one, i can't wait. I'm think BRP will have some official pics up soon.
I am sure Cycle Courier is a declining industry. The exception being densely populated inner cities, even then the trajectory of growth is more on a plateau.
Your study of bags is almost independent of Cycle Couriers. If all you are looking at is bags, the subject has been touched upon more times than the industry can count. There are already bags available for any conceivable situation and application. As someone wanting to carry a bag whilst riding a bike, comfort and volume are the top priorities. The bag doesn't have to be any bigger than it has to be, but smaller bags tend to be more comfortable.
From what I see, Cycle Couriers are anything but style conscious. The style conscious cyclist is the "Italian Road cyclist." Though being reasonably stylish and presentable on par with one's look and performance on a bike always conveys and exudes a sense of harmony between rider and machine.
Riding Fixed or Single Speed is a person's individual choice. Yes it is more practical for intended purpose, and less to go wrong or worry about. You could carry any bag you wished whatever the type of bike ridden, so long as it works for you. And only you, the rider, could be the best judge of that.
If you are looking for a worthy cycling project, there are many things you could consider by digging just a little deeper.
