20 minutes later. He claims to have no cash available, I gave him the chance to talk to his other partner over the weekend. I've asked for the original price back and the data on the machine transferred for free. Monday is decision time. I've dropped the small claims bomb and said that I don't want to go there as I'd like to sort this out properly as I don't think he's a terrible person etc etc.
He's offered to take the machine and replace it, I've said "no, as I don't want to go through all this again should it break down". The solution he can think of, as he does not have £450 to hand, is to take the machine, fix it and sell it, then pay me back. I said that this was not acceptable.
I am waiting for another 20 minutes of fun on Monday.
