Yeah i popped in there on Sunday as i was at the "Taste of Spain" (what a load of shit that was!) with my gf. Didn't realise you could decorate your own but the pre-painted ones are £££!

Good point! And I want to go to that ride (though it could be fun trying to get back with Great Eastern) . However I'm not free any other day so unless people want to do another evening then it looks like this isn't going to happen... Arse!

Can anyone remember what the taxi driver was shouting at us? I've submitted a PCO complaint, but they want actual quotes, rather than just "foul and abusive" language.

"You fucking cyclists, you think you own the bus lane"
"Do you want a go?"
"Fuck you" (multiple times)

And of course the act of trying to knock me off my bike by driving towards me... that needs no quoting!

Finally got a reponse from the PCO following a chase up e-mail.:

Dear lardboy,

Thank you for your email dated 19 November 2010. Please accept my sincere apology for the delay in responding to you.

Your complaint has been investigated which involved providing the driver with a copy of your complaint (all your personal details were removed).

The only sanctions available to us are to issue a warning or to suspend or revoke the driver’s licence. As you may appreciate, the loss of a licence deprives a self-employed individual of the ability to work at their chosen profession and could be seen as disproportionate in respect of a single lapse in standards.

Having assessed all the available information I have decided not to take any further action at this time. However, the driver’s future behaviour will be closely monitored to ensure that this was an isolated incident and not a regular feature of his work. If he attracts a number of complaints or a pattern of poor behaviour becomes apparent, then his fitness to remain licensed may be reviewed.

I am sorry that you should have had cause for complaint and thank you for bringing this matter to our attention.
