    I have to ask the naysayers above regarding Squabs' Cyclo Benelux gears: why the hell would you slag it off? Really Dylan I'd have expected better from you. That stuff is proper nice english vintage gears, with the coil spring and all. Good luck to you Ed! I'd like to have a go when it's built. I personally can't really be arsed with super-old bits any more having been through a short phase of being interested (built a really light road/path with airlites, that was fucking ace), but there's something very sensible about this direction that Ed's going in, on a conceptual level. I reckon a three-speed (or even two-speed, like Brompton currently sell) deraillieur system is eminently sensible and really desirable. I'd rather have that than eleven speed doubles made of bloody carbon cheese that definitely won't be functional in 60 years time. I'm with Ed (<can't believe I just wrote that last bit.)
