The pic is a bit too small to see any details.
FWIW I reckon you asked genuine question. I figure a bit of flaming was to be expected though.
Do you have a better pic?

I had a quick look last night but didn't post, will now tho. An entry level - Sora - Cannondale costs somewhere 6-800 notes. Assuming it's in good order and not crashed, 250 second hand isn't bad (it's not bargain, but don't feel ripped off). If it's specced higher once you get to look it over, then your deal just got better.

Looks like an old R800 or something. The actual worth of which could way over the amount paid or way below. Depends on the condition. The model will be on the toptube.
Check here:
http://www.bikepedia.com/QuickBike/Bikes.aspx?Year=2000&Brand=CannondaleThats the 2000 listing but if you select your model you can navigate onto the exact year from there.

Don't suppose anyone can tell me what model this Raleigh bike is?? I'm told it is a 1980's bike. Recently bought it off eBay as a singlespeed.

i thought R800 of that era were mainly 105? in which case, not a bad price.

Thats what I thought. Although I did find a couple with Tiagra. Could'nt find one with that colour scheme though, and as I was aiming at 'worse case senerio' its probably better.
All of the road bikes from R800 upwards were based around decent Alu frames. So if it its in decent nick, and has Tiagra or better, then its a decent buy I suppose.

Don't know, but the seller left the headset races in when he powdercoated it!
Judging by the clearances and pie-plate on the back wheel I'd say a pretty low-end gaspipe model. Possibly not orignal forks.

Wow, custom created semi-integrated headset. Those sound pricing.

Why can't you wait for your bike to arrived and find out what groupset it have? or God forbid, ask the seller?
