  • hope you guys outside NL can see it, a nice interview on Dutch TV, sit through the Dutch bits at the start, the interview's in English

    http://beta.uitzendinggemist.nl/afleveringen/992009

  • I'm so confused. It's like watching some sort of dream/nightmare...

  • eh... ? Dutch sounds bad to your ears? ;)

  • The band, the host, the conveyor belt thing and Mark spending 5 minutes talking about a Fiat 500 on a sport show.

  • haha, yes I agree it's not a sports show in the traditional sense. Other things on the show were a sports psychologist talking about Dutch gymnastics world champ Yuri van Gelder taking coke, a cocaine & sports(people) quiz and a female karate ka suffering from diabetes. I don't always like the host's interviewing focus or style, but rather enjoyed this one tbbh.

  • A really good interview. I enjoyed that. Wish we had thoughtful sports programmes in England.

  • Yes, slightly surreal, but it was good that he let him talk and he definitely came across very well. Terribly inarticulate in words but very articulate in action.

    You mean?

  • No, more with things like the reasons why he likes Fiat Cinquecentos of all cars and why he does with his what he does. Just that he's more of a doer, not a talker. I also like it, quite generally, when slebs say unusual things. I suppose as cycling isn't exactly saturated with sponsorship yet, you still get some rough edges. I like that.

  • I hope all those that went to Chasing legends had a thoroughly enjoyable time.

  • Just back from Chasing Legends.

Birth of a new double act.

The Rolf Aldag and Brian Holme show. They were fucking hilarious!

The film was brilliant, really exciting.

Definitely one for Blu Ray in a few months time.

  • Glad you enjoyed it. I'll have to wait for the DVD.

  • Just back too. Awesome. Q&A after was interesting too, although the comedy double lost something in having to translate dodgy questions.

Cav: "No-one's ever asked me what I'm shit at". Lol.

  • a good film. bit disappointed there wasn't more cav-zabel interaction as he is his mentor.
    some great riding shots.

  • He's got a Nike advert now too.....

  • Nice to hear a couple of " you knows' " in there, you know?

And what's all this pain bullshit, he's fucking around on the inner ring.

  • Ultegra as well??

  • ^ Looked like 105

  • He's levelling the playing field.

He's doing next years tour on a lo pro with risers, or one of scobles contraptions.

  • Ultegra ftw

  • I would.

  • I would.

    I dunno,
hes a bit scrawney from the waist up. Does have a sexy voice though.

  • if Cav wins BBC sports personality I'll eat my hat (the soft Swobo one will be easiest to digest). public ain't interested in cycling unless its Olympic gold. travesty!

  • Gee and Rachel Atherton have got to be up there somewhere as some of Britain's most successful on 2 wheels.
