yeah, after a while the person i was speaking to said "we specialise in working with a few shops such as evans and halfords, but i will tell direct line how much it would cost to replace your bike and they will probably give you a cheque" but i can imagine this being a ball ache. they didn't want to know about the quote i have from brixton cycles, which seems fucked up as that is the simplest and most easily verifiable valuation short of sending a bike nerd out to look the thing over.
in regards to the injuries, i am waiting for the police to get back to me, and in talks with tibbs (shinigami) about claiming from TfL, as apparently they know the paint they use is dangerous to cycles but use it anyway.
and one day this winter i will come up, but is isn't the most enticing of ideas after riding 40 miles all day then a massive hill then ten miles home, but i s'pose pizza offsets that somewhat.
