  • Ouch. HealTFU.

  • glad you are ok, hope the ankle heals up fast.

  • Bike wanted for disadvantaged youngster.....paging teenslain....

I've a wheel and bars/stem/brake bits. Has anyone got a beater frame somewhere? I'm sure we can put something together to get you mobile until the money comes through for your replacement.

    What say you lovely forumengers?

  • ^how long do insurancepayouts take? i'll be off for a week anyway

    not #61.

  • Heal up soon young man, glad you're mainly intact.

  • I got a big road frame, think its a size 61cm with fork and headset if its wanted. Im not in london tho, (rochester just outside) might be able to pop it up tomorrow or sat to the putter-togetherer. (brixton cycles?) It is a beater but I think its sound.

too big for me, so happy for it to be used. brought it off geordieboy earlier in the year. he would be able to confirm the size if needed.

  • p.s. hope you get better soon mate,

/you dont know me but the mate was used because as a cyclist we are all mates right?

  • @josh - twat

  • Josh, what a shocker, heal up soon man. glad you are okay though. today was full of close encounters for me both morning and evening commutes.. shuddered when I read your crash details..

i was loving the downpour around 1.

massive cheerz to raf for offering to get my bike home tomorro, i was going to haemorrhage cash on a taxi

  • Mean luck Josh. Encouraged by your ebullience. Hope it will really be just two weeks on crutches ie nothing so bad as a broken ankle?

+Good work by the lady of the general public who took you into her lobby and her(?) office for storing your bike.

I have rear wheel if needed for stop-gap bike build. just PM.

  • hey mate, sammy's got a frame in the hallway, u never noticed? got saddle, chainset and stem, you very nearly sorted, oh, i bet its your size too

  • Stop offering this lamo frames. He's a pedestrian now, he has to start from the bottom. Get your arse to Halfords mate!

On a serious note, you need to take action against the Highway Authority for using thermoplastic white-lining because they know it's dangerous. This is not the first or last time a cyclist or motorcyclist falls victim to it. It could have been worse for you.

without meaning being too much of a pessimistic cunt, a clean break is often better than soft tissue damage, which can lead to permanent weakness. a straightforward clean fracture will nearly always mend perfectly...

    just saying...
