Had the worst come down ever after about 3 grams of very strong speed in a club in about 91. Sat by a canal at 6 in the morning, didn't know what to do with myself - couldn't feel anything other than just deep sorrow...
However, later that day me and the then girlfriend performed oral on each other for a couple of hours non stop, which was ace.

TheorySwine - yeah the pills contained 5mg if memory serves me right and 3 had you bombed outta your mind but the pharm grade had a distinct calmness to it somehow as well as the super intense stimulation/dopamine production+++ and the effects just gradually wore off i.e. no awful 'comedown' whereas street gear always left ya feeling really dirty like you'd been raped in the mind & body by a dozen plague infested syphillitic zombies.

Only if you had a bucketloads. The worst come down is after speed, as it lasts longer (the "high" also last longer). All the heart pounding, high/low pressure, depression/paranoia bullshit.
I never was one for moderation. MDMA never left me on a roof top for 5 hours in the sun just feeling shitty and talking to my friend about how shitty we where feeling and how we wanted more.... Coke on the other hand...

'Kin'ell grandad, I can only speak from personal experience and as I said, the legacy of my short period of amphetamine abuse was a nice garden, more attractive physique and an improved love life. I then stopped doing it. As a consequence the garden went into decline.

Speed is nasty. Absolutely not worth the bother. I've lost a couple of friends to amphetamines and it happened very quickly. Both girls, pretty, with degrees, good media jobs. Now one's a bum living in London (run away from home convinced that people are after her), toothless, red faced, unrecognisable. The other is recovering junkie with HIV, working for a charity - she was taking speed intravenous (or whatever you spell it), sucking guys off it the toilets for a score. It took less than a year of regular use for both.
Many people I know who work for radio stations on graveyard shifts also do speed.
Like every drug it's only nice at the beginning and in moderation. After it's only a chore, expensive habit to keep depression at bay... -

I acquired a source of Adderall tabs a few years back, it's a prescription amphetamine based drug used in the U.S. (not licensed here) to treat things like ADD/ADHD and narcolepsy. The same source also stocked Desoxyn which is methamphetamine based. I developed a weakness for these two pretty rapidly in fact almost as quickly as I developed a tolerance to their effects. The effects of amphetamines can be significantly enhanced by taking them with an Antacid, Malox for example since low gut pH increases the clearance of amphet from the system. It's extremely damaging to the CV system, very neurotoxic (methamphet particularly) and not very good at all as a performance enhancing substance considering it's moniker. And it was this shit that played a big part in the death of Tommy Simpson, RIP.
