I had loads of problems with macs ... powerbook 12" had to go in for repair two times ... MBP 15" just died after two weeks, so I got a black MB as replacement plus refund, which had to go in for repair once. Two weeks ago the battery had to be replaced cuz it died.
Also have a MBP for on-site work, which has an ever depleting battery as well, despite being just 1 1/2 years old.
Apple warranty (not applecare) is terrible, and I buy from John Lewis to compensate that somewhat.
Also keyboards: Three keyboards had the keys coming off and couldn't be repaired so far.
All together a pretty shite record, hardware wise.
