meh, went to brazas last week, since they re opened the standards have nosedived. shoddy service, so so food and smaller than usual portions. made a comment and got a free pud for my troubles, which was big of them.
Really? I was there about three weeks ago and it was just as good as it was before.
It would be a shame if they undid everything for the sake of an expansion.

Just noticed the opening hours at BV - good mixture of early morning and late evening, plus Sundays too, which is really handy.

Franco Manca* and the new one in Granville is meant to be good too.
*the TO review brought a whole heap of Clive types down to 'vibrant' Brixton.
That's Victor's place, he's a nice chap... Pizza isn't bad either...
I wish everyone would actually fuck off and leave Brixton alone... I can't drink in the Effra anymore without wanting to get all Colombine on their arses, no, I will not keep my voice down when watching the football you wine-swilling, middle-class cuntbag...

Anyway, fuck all that and get yourself up to Braza's on Tulse Hill for some **legit **Peri-Peri chicken and home made cakes that are just fucking unbelievable.
Yeah, fuck Brazas... Used to be awesome, then they put their prices up and the quality nosedived... Shame, that was our Friday night take-out joint...

^ Tapas in London are shite*... Sorry...
The Portuguese tapas at O Cantinho are way better than any Spanish tapas I've had here...
- Bar Galicia at the top of Portobello Road is OK I s'pose...

It seemed pretty good when I went (nearly 2 years ago now), but I don't know anything about Portuguese food. The way the dining room is set-up is amazing though, well worth going for that, and the slightly surreal experience of being buzzed into the restaurant through a secret door alone.

It does sound great, will have to make more of an effort and get up there... Tho' *O Cantinho *does fulfill all my Portuguese gastronomic needs at this point in time...

Got a wheel trued at BV this week, proper A* customer service. Having a LBS that opens at 8am and shuts at 6pm is amazing, meant I didn't have to change my schedule to go before/after work, plus the wheel was done in 6 hours, and I got a nice email to let me know it was ready. John was cool too, remembered my full name when I collected, and was chatty about what kinds of biking I was doing.

+1 for john and the hungarian phone book ripper from me too - stuck a new chain ring on me and fixed a puncture without even asking - all in the space of about ten minutes. this shop deserves yer dorrah.

Was saved this morning by the chaps at Bon Velo - who not only sorted my Merckx out and spotted that the bottom bracket had loosened itself, but also then let me pay £20 in cash instead of £25 when my card was mysteriously declined (worked at the cash point just now?!). Quality bike shop and really friendly.
Some lovely Looks on the wall in there too.

Thread dredge time.
I took a wheel to Bon Velo to have the tub re-glued, and as well as being friendly and flexible with collection times (they let me keep it there for a week while I went on holiday) they only charged £15 for the work and included a wheel true in the price.
Definitely recommended.

Timely dredge - I dropped a Campag ergo lever in there last week, and they fixed it within half an hour.
Great service.

Another shout out for Bon Velo, they've been treating us very well at the florence pub and you can win vouchers to spend there this weekend (20th/21st) by taking part in our time trials (http://http://www.florencehernehill.com/) all in aid of Wheels for wellbeing.
