ORLY? They're all the same at first - nerds-idealists sacrificing their sex life to save the future. Not long time ago Google was an underdog struggling against Goliaths like Yahoo and MSN (shit search engine build in in every office computer by default), Netscape (do you remember?) and AOL.
And now? You don't play by their rules and you cease to exist online.

The nerds didn't have a sex life in the first place.

Secondly google provide by far the best API and services out there. I want to reverse GeoCode ... a REST request to there server which is ridiculously easy to do.

Microsofts API is confusing ... and Yahoo mapping stuff is just shit.
