As an aside,
Tabio's plain over-knee socks. £12 a go.
My girlfriend just bought a pair for me and I reckon they're absolutely top-drawer. They're snug, they're lightweight, they stay up, they dry quickly, and they've a hint of Japanese school girl about them.
On the downside, they're made for modest plates. Sizes 5 - 8, so says the website.
I now wear women's clothes.
