The hipstermobile has a slack chain
Better slack than tight.

polo steed finished the other week, just added new chainring and saddle today.
Lo-pro, looking like a clusterfuck of badly [colour] matched parts although it's soon to be put away to hibernate for winter and the hack will be reinstated.
new gooch saving saddle.
also, anyone know anything about the turbo matic 2? Almost put it on the polo bike but i like it too much!

He has obviously not fitted the TT style brake levers yet.

Why would he?
No brake callipers either... -

No brake callipers either...Since it's clearly not for track racing, I'm sure he'll be getting to the brake callipers too as the build progresses.

The frame isn't drilled, therefore not designed for brake calipers. What makes you think the owner is going to add brakes?
Because you assume it will be ridden on the road is not a good enough answer.

Mechanic at work (Wimbledon Evans) got a BMC Track frame and drilled the carbon fork to accept front brake.
anything possible.
and I think he might be the first with a HHSB BMC trackie in London.

does this mean you now work at evans ed? if so, well done. I seem to remember reading that you were trying for it.

also, I second that tear. bmc shouldn't be drilled. suppose it balances up the much reported fragility of the back end up front.

I thought the problem was in the middle

Yep.
First job in 3 years, finally.
Sending e-mail to Evans/Cycle Surgery/etc. doesn't seemed to work, new Wimbledon store opened, went there and gave the manager my cv right in his hand, seemed to work and I'm on the floor.

and I'm on the floor.
What, like those women in the picture?

thanks for the advice, I def want some bigger tyres on this bike.
did you end up selling your wheels? Im still trying to decide on what wheels to put on this bike. Im not going to keep the sx3 hub so Im still looking for a rear wheel or pair.lovely project!
the PBPs do go up to 32s, but, 32s are such a pain in the neck to fit on them! -

I must admitted it's a bit scary watching him taking a drill on a BMC carbon fork, but appear to be fine.
Let see what the Walking Encyclopedia have to says on that (I mean you mdcc_tester).

I would have thought you would need to reinforce the hole in some way but i could very easily be wrong

Custom machined, engraved and anodised top cap on my 464, just to show that my critique of the Klein in the porn thread is backed up by a willingness to get it right on my own bikes. The cap is specifically sized to blend into the Pro Vibe 7S stems on my s, so it doesn't look as good on other stems, particularly CNC ones which tend to have more wall thickness at the steerer clamp than the forged ones.

you've actually lined up the horizontal section of the allen key... detail, all in the detail no one will ever notice. we all do it in some way or another.

I was gonna start to work on my beater Peugeot, but the thief wouldn't let me!
Finally got new front wheel, and seat post after some parts got nicked.
Now I need to change the pedals back to Lyotard Berthet as Campag Triomphe doesn't have any flip-tap to put your feet in...urg!
Ordered another wee Brooks saddle bag from Planet X, and lastly I'm waiting for the arrival of B17 though I would prefer my original Swift. -

This is my new mountain bike. Never had one before. It's nuts! Properly like riding a tank after my other bikes which are more like hatchbacks. Bunny hopping is so easy as when you compress and jump up the suspension does the work for you - I've spent this evening charging up and down my street popping over speed bumps and over ramps in the pavement. I haven't had a sesh like that since I used to skate. Awesome! I got this off the CTW scheme so got it at a big discount over what was already a 60% reduction off the rrp as it's a 2007 bike. Pretty ridiculous. Got trips to the 7 Stains and Snowdonia booked over the next couple of weeks. A whole new part of bikes to explore. WOOOP!!

Jump down big sets of stairs but land in the transition of those stairs.
Best fun you can have with a mtb in the city.
And as we are in "current projects", one of these can be yours for little moneys:
