The Tommasini is very nice, but the seller has a couple of those and trying to sell via Ebay.
Listed already several times on Ebay and in this thread as well.
These frames hardly sell, because of the high reserve.
About your Gazelle.
I'm pretty sure that the frame number you read is not correct.
Probably not your mistake. Lots of times, these numbers are unclear. Sometimes, the Gazelle numbering is inconsistent.
Could the number be 3288xxx ?
Then:
In 71/72 there were no short Campagnolo dropouts and there was no Gazelle AB
Both were introduced around 1980.
By the paint and decal style, I would say that your frame is from 2nd half of the 80s.
Maybe it's a little bit older, but repainted later.
*The routing was a design influence by the TVM team mechanics. They complained about complications internal routing gave when doing quick maintenance.
*This frame is pre-TVM, so, how could they influence this?
Internal routing was exclusively for AA-Special and AA-Super. Matter of lobour cost on frame price. External routing was also done on A and AA frames from the 70s. I fully agree that non-internal routing is better, but not with the too narrow cable guides of this AB. Very hard to get a standard 5mm brake cable through. Besides that, they corrode too easlily. And water stays between outer cable and top tube.
Anyway. Your Gazelle is nice. Good luck with selling it.
