70's/Early 80's Italian machines were full of win, always loved 80's Bimotas, especially the HB1

Indeed. Though I had one of these, which wasn't actually full of win in my hands, but still..

Used to VJMC race it. Lost by heaps every time to exotic porn at every opportunity, but had some great weekends away. So far as I can remember...
Gotta love a Bimota. Soon as that lottery win comes in...

So a question for some mechanically minded forumgers.
My scooter failed its MOT because of a warped front wheel - i have got a new wheel off eBay, the garage wont a fair bit to swap it over, but i reckon I can do it myself.
I need to take out the old wheel, take the disc off it, put it on the new wheel, and then slot it all back together. The new wheel has a tire, so don't need to worry about that. Not too worried about the wheel change, more the brake - plenty of experience with MTB Disc brakes, and it looks just like a bigger version to me - is this something i should attempt, or leave it to the shop? Pics below:

Simple job in theory, so long as all the bolts etc come undone. No need to move calipers, and don't squeeze the lever while the wheel's out! Should all be done and dusted in 1/2 hour tops. Make sure you torque up the disc bolts.
While UR at it, give the calipers a good clean out, job done.
Oh, and make sure you secure the bike while the wheel's out so it doesn't fall over! You may laugh, but I've seen it done - hammer out the spindle, and...crash!

That Godier Genoud ^ reminds me of the tricked out 1300 flat 6 I used to ride many years ago. Same French company did it. It was a beast. I think posted about it earlier in this thread.

Vinyl, it's real easy..
Might want to drip some penetrating oil on the bolts before you start. -

Benedict Radcliffe's bstardized ESB. What's the law on that then?
WOW... Where can I see more of this!

I assume as dirttrack has been mentioned you all know about sideburn? http://sideburnmagazine.com There's even some cycle interest on the blog. There's also an amazing HD hill climber in the latest dice that i'll try and track down a pic of.
I failed my first test for the indicator thing too. Bummer. Cancelling indicators on an HD? that can't be true, how would you build that out of pig iron?

really like the exhaust, and the tank looks badass.

Thanks dude!
Exhausts are actually standard - I slash cut them through the baffles. One of my cutomers did the chroming on the tank for me for free.
Even the tail section is a reworkked standard part.
Entire bike owes me less than a grand (unless I charged my labour hours in which case a porsche would be cheaper :-) )
Jota - epic machine. Spagetti forks and dinnerplate brakes just have death written all over them when you look at them now. What about...
