The cable run will be no worse than a modern cyclocross bike, but if it were mine I'd still put Tektro dual pivot callipers on it. Just make sure you get levers designed for road brakes, as MTB levers for V-brakes don't combine well with road callipers.

ahh cool i'm sure i can find something, the brakes are nice and powerful for teh rain up her so rather not replace whats not broken,
