  • Right. Apparently there is some kind of workaround fix involving heating the soldering behind the graphics chip causing it to melt and reseal the connections. Not sure if it's gonna help but I may as well give it a shot some time this weekend. I've downloaded a .pdf guide to help me on my way.

    Sounds like what you're supposed to do when an Xbox 360 gets the 'Red Ring of Death'.
    Turn it on with no disc inserted, wrap it up with loads of towels and just leave it for a while. Apparently this heats up all the solder so it will melt back into place and dry that way when you let it cool off.

    Apparently it works.
