I was looking for exactly the same thing a few months ago. Googling I found some funny examples of DYI stands.

I'm in the process of setting up my macbook to use in desktop mode as well, i.e. with monitor, mouse and keyboard.

Can anyone recommend a stand for the macbook to sit on (cheap/not too expensive) so air can circulate and I can use it as a second screen if the need arises.
