  • Try some of the weldtite stuff (green can) - sorted a seized stem with it in a few seconds today.

  • i have some of that green stuff, wish i'd seen that half an hour ago, i just sawed a stem off then cracked the crown race getting it off. speaking of which....

    FREECYCLED ALREADY
    58cm frame
the colour is somewhere between the 2 pictures. Elswick stag, unsure of tubing. needs new bb but youre welcome to it. seatpost included, not seized. no headset. no forks. scratched and some rust on bb cluster

bike is in fallowfield opposite 'the ram and shackle', previously 'the last drop inn'

FREECYCLE (though i wouldnt turn my nose up at some drop handlebars of any dimensions and condition or a can of super strength lager)

I'll take it off your hands! Only full drops I have are in use unfortunately, but got some chopped ones you can have for it...

  • asking for £35. They are 170mm and English threaded

okay. sorry, i'm looking for 165mm atm.

  • what's 5mm difference between friends? ;)

  • well i have 170mm on my free wheel bike, and have occasionally caught the road if i peddle through a corner, so wanted to try something shorter, maybe I should try to get 160mm? what do most people use on their fixed wheel bikes?

  • 165mm & 170mm on my 700cmx X PoloBike

If you're fitting the cranks to an actual track frame, then the BB should be higher to offset this.

  • hmm... well don't have the frame i'm going to fix up yet, so i'll wait to see what i get.

  • hey all - the Scissor's going to have to go as I'm not using it enough t justify it... to be replaced with a proper beater me thinks. Dibs to youse lot of course.

  • has the frame gone chucklebruv?

  • Yep it has sorry law

  • no worries.
    I'll find another one.

  • law, what frame sizes are you looking for?

  • **Wanted *:
    -A water bottle cage
    (bolts preferred but not vital)
    -straight handlebars in 25.4
    -A bell that goes brrrr-ing
    -Size 9 overshoes*
-Someone about six feet tall who rides a fixed gear bike clipless using size 9 shoes, who will kindly let me discover what riding fixed clipless is like.

    thank you
    Paul

*no matter if in poor condition or aged

Told you they'll catch on! I have a waterbottle cage, no bolts.

I'd built a cheap and cheerful fixie, which I've now stripped of parts and hand painted by myself with rattle cans.
It actually looks surprisingly good as it is.

I'm now wishing I had used a nicer/ prettier 531 lightweight frame as a basis, rather than the more agricultural one I've used.
    Ideally I'm after a 23" frame.
Which I would get stripped and powder coated professionally of course!

  • yeah woody mine seized and i greased it up and it's ok now

Anyone got any silver risers they wanna sell me? to fit a quill stem

  • sorry woody just read you've tried everything.....

  • to be honest law, this probably wouldn't have been any good for you. don't think its 531 as the seat post is 26.8, but it looks and feels well made and isn't very heavy. To be honest though, I reckon its about 52cm rather than 58cm, so its a bit small for me too, but its a nice frame though. so if anyone else is looking for a 21"-ish (ctc seat tube) frame (no forks), and wants to trade it for another bike part (don't really care what), let me know.

  • Hey, looking for rear wheel, single or flip flop hub 700c/622m. Can anyone help me????
