I always assumed that literacy was not connected with the ability to hear, because neither the act of reading nor writing requires you to be able to hear. I now realise that's a bit daft though, because it's all connected with talking and listening, isn't it?
Anyway, frankly, Ed's posts are written better than many people on here who have all their senses intact. I've got used to the way he writes, just like I've got used to other people's awful spelling and grammar.
Bit odd that on the internet it's deemed OK to wade in and criticise a stranger without knowing all the facts. You wouldn't bump into Ed on the street and have a go because he couldn't hear what you were saying, would you?
