  • Just like all the others drawn to this thread, I'm considering a pair of deep section carbon bling wheels. Practicality of clincher, smooth looks of no aluminium braking surface. But I've already seen one pair of DT RRCs knackered through a spot of hot alpine descending, and am guessing this kind of drawback is universal. A shame, but I'm not quite deterred.
    What other manufacturer offerings are there? (no ebay/direct from china rims please). Also, how deep is too deep for fair weather riding? (these will be for a super fair weather bike)
