  • It also implies that you ride on the tops of the bars and don't use the 'horn' section when going fast (no access to brake except when riding in a position/speed you could control the bike with your legs alone), which is what they're designed for.

Because of this it gives the impression that the bike doesn't fit you and is in fact too long.

I am just thinking out loud...

  • My refurb of this little folder is almost done, just got to wire up the 3 speed hub cable and last few tweeks :)

  • Wow Max, you really do sound like me!

no, i use the "horn" section for sprinting and for climbing. The area closer to the top of the bars is for general riding. i see your point but i feel safer with my brake where it is.
    it fits me perfectly.

Haha, I was afraid of that ;-)

  • its just an emergency brake as well...
im getting used to leg braking.

  • The Argos is blatantly too big for you... should definitely sell to me. I give you good prie!

  • Cheap Pompino for I and my dad, especially my dad who need something like this to train on than his geared audax bike.

54.5cm top tube fit like a dream, so nice to able to ride with a normal sized stem (110mm).

How big are you? I was going to get one of these pomp's but bottled it because I was worried about size. I have a 54cm TT road frame currently and I cannot reach the drops and even the hoods are a stretch.

  • The bike in picture is a medium (51cm ST, 54cm TT), I have to flip the stem upside down so the position is just about comfortable, and a new seatpost to able to rise it a bit more, I'm 6' and according to On-one guide I should be on a Large (54cm ST, 55.5 TT).

I says go for it, get the Small (you needed something like 52cm TT right?), and deal with the excessive height of the seatpost and stem.

If you do order one, don't forget to ask On-one to NOT cut the fork steerer, giving you enough option to cut it down to your idea height.

  • If I get it, ill ask for self build option. You get £30 discount!!!

Then for +£20 I can have external BB cranks.

  • You have to be quick though, the discount doesn't last long and it's £100 more now due to better wheelset.

  • How do you mean?

oh just that it's design to hold the cable rather than the housing.

  • Things are going very very wrong in the Quinn household.

  • sweet vans.

  • sorry I am crap at choosing front wheels

    Nah don't worry it's ok.

  • recent 531c tourer build

Tidy. Toyed with having my cranks powdercoated when I did my tourer. Kid of glad I didn't, no offence. Think it looks OK on yours though, and it's a nice little touch that nobody else has.

Going away on it anytime soon?

  • AHHHH F*****CKKKK, stripped the pedal threading from my friend's right hand crank putting the pedal in at a slight angle. ordered new ones today. just to make me feel better (or worse), has anyone else done this before? also i should just throw the crank arm away (minus chainrings) shouldnt i? no other use for it?

p.s. dont worry, theyr just old 105s, nothing of beauty was mangled

  • what's the best glue for gluing metal to plastic?
