• Thanks Corny, a far more detailed reply. I'll be asking the guys at 14 next month then!

  • Checked these out while in Vegas, they are nicely made and although not greatly stiff they are way better than clips n straps IMO.
More top work from a very well run company.

    A+

  • yo hammer tile, so that means they are a good halfway house for those who want to be able to walk for an extended period of time?

  • Yup, they're just like a pair of vans with cleats.
If I'd not been so skint while out there I would have bought a few pairs to bring back, 1 pair to keep the others to sell to nice people.

When are you back big man, must be anytime now no?

  • back in two weeks, for the bike show, and then fingers crossed leave again in november..

  • Went to Bike 14 to check out the Mission Workshop shoes.

It's better than I thought it would be.

Underneath the insoles, it's entirely plastic like a cycling shoes, and pretty stiff when I twist the shoes, the heel side flex a tiny bit more than a typical cycling shoes (comparing to a Mavic MTB shoes), but plenty stiff enough.

Let see how other find it.

DJ has had a pair for a few months now and says they're pretty good!

Well their shopping cart is up and running. So, I went to buy a pair from the US of A today, but the buggers don't deliver across the pond:-(

  • Anyone know when those Chrome Kurk's are coming out?

  • Anybody tried these out? Or know of similar/better?

Yeah sorry, found that just after I had submitted the post, unfortunately when I searched previously I had "titles" ticked so got no hits.

  • don't worry, as long as it answers your questions, best to go into shop14 if your in london and have a look at them, think i'll purchase a pair when I'm back in town in the new year, just for tooling around in..

  • Why trainers are called sneakers? is it a slang of some sort to describe the type of shoes that burglar wear?

TokyoFixed just got some in as well, Condor says they're thinking of bringing them in too.

  • Man picks up telephone...

    Hi is that Mission workshop?

    Yes, yes it is.

Great, I'd like to buy something that makes me look like a spaz

Oh, yes. I see, a spaz. I'm sure we have something here.

Long pause while MW man thinks...

I have just the thing for you, Rondels the man exclaims!

Great news, I'll be over in a jiffy!

    Man rushes out to buy

  • says the man dressed as a pig

  • Oink, oink.

says the man dressed as a Pig!

    They seem pretty good.

  • Why not the MIssion Workshop? they look quite impressive and doesn't look like a baby shoes like the 661 Filter.

Review look good I have to admit.

  • because the mission workshop ones cost more

  • Excellent point my friend.

They are about as stiff as a wet kipper, fine if you're commuting but otherwise pretty crap...

  • I've got sidi dominators for commuting in. They're mainly for going to friends houses and that.

  • any word on these:

    ?

Why has nobody made a rubbery cover thingy to cover/protect cleats and give you grip if you're walking around?
