Things have changed, the Vaio doesn't seem like a bad deal after all. The extra memory is pointless unless your video editing or editing large photo files and the like. The Dell i pointed to up there is a bit cheaper, slightly smaller screen and comes with a much faster i7, and it's the CPU is what it's all about at the end of the day.
