I have a specific project that would be easier to accomplish with a netbook, due to its physical keyboard.
I've not had a home-phone line, nor external internet connection for at least 4 years; I've always used my laptop tethered through my mobile. But now that I can create a Wi-Fi hotspot from my Desire, its fast, and easier for myself and the lady.
I use my laptop when I'm at home. It feels too cumbersome to carry around. I wouldn't actually need a netbook, as my laptop would take care of any such requirements. But the extra portability may be worth a reassessment.
