They look a bit ungainly with those long tube pointing out in front, or are they the lightsabar editions?

I've got an aversion to zip ties, except as an emergency measure/bodge.
As winter is on its way, I'm about to plaster my beater in zip-ties. Every light gets one or two, my crud catchers get two each, my batteries get two each, and I'll used a couple to keep power cables out of the way. thats 18 or so holding my bike together!

Oooooh, get you, Edvald Bodgen Hagen.

I have it on good authority, that Thor's Cervelo is externally stiffened with zip-ties.
FULL OF WIN.

Zipp 'carbon' rims are actually made of melted down zip-ties. FACT.

Have a close look at the spokes 'Lightweight' use. They're just highly tensioned zip ties*.
(*with the clip end facing into the hub to minimize rotational mass. Clever little germans.)

Been using these for a few days - my only grumble is that they turn on really easily when stashed in your bag. Otherwise, a neat little set for less than £20.

Just added the stupendously priced 750 Lumens torch, available from Tesco.
Sold out at the moment, but worth a look if back in stock.750 Lumens for only £70.00; almost unbelievable.
Active LED 750 Lumens (X-Glow Cree 750) £70.00 [750 LUMENS]

Seriously good price. I shall make the change. Thanks.
EDIT:
Actually, I won't add it. It takes four D-size batteries, which means its big and heavy, and not very cycle friendly.
Of course, do buy it if it fits the bill, but I think its length and weight make it not really suitable for bikes. The X-Glow is of a similar look and power output, but uses only two batteries, and is much smaller.

D cells? ha! that will be a quick refund if they pull out a foot long box.

I just bought one of these at the bike show today.
Woderlight is the brand from Korea brand. I have yet to use it in anger but so far it looks good and ios far brighter than my soon to be ebayed, but still very good, Ay ups. For £90 all in and 900 lumens I could not resist. Was tempted at the Use stand with some of their exposur lights and had even considered a Lumicyle light but this puppy looks promising so far. The only concern is teh resilience of the mounting arm. the handlebar clamp is fine but the arm is quite long and I suspect may be prone to vibration. -

Anyone have any experience with this light? 300/320 lumen for £49.99

Those cree lights from Lumenjunkies, the batteries (18650) are expensive at around £5.
Do the rechargeables hold up for a good time ?
Experience is everything, just want to hear what you have to say becasue i know a few of you have these lights.
I want to get the 900 lumen one http://www.lumenjunkies.co.uk/%20MTE%20SF-23%20SSC%20P7-D

The batteries are fine.
I got them from ebay - here - http://shop.ebay.co.uk/big_f_d_d/m.html?_nkw=&_armrs=1&_from=&_ipg=&_trksid=p4340 £7.99 for two. None in stock at the minute though.
I've had no problems, and the run times are good for 4hrs ish on full power.

I have one of those crees. They are very very bright - usable for road at night, and not too mad off-road. Came with adaptor to run 3xAAA recharges, which will do a couple of hours per set, and they are cheap as chips and weigh nothing on the trail. Only downside is no focus on the bream, but it's pretty well set up.

Anyone know what they are doing with regard to electronics fancy having a look at my Cree?
I've swapped parts backward and forwards from the perfectly working one to the duffer.
Duffer changes beam output when you shake it, or does not go on until you shake it- typical loose connection.
It's in the head of the torch, as I have swapped the other parts back and forth.
I'm a bit stumped as to what to look for.
So- anyone care to take a look before I send the duffer back and wait another week for delivery?

Try screwing down head and tailcaps extremely enthusiastically. That worked for me with an erratic cree torch.
Otherwise, I think it's a loose pill (?) or something (if there's a rattle).
Don't really know.

Just fixed it by doing exactly what you said BMMF- great success!
Which Ayups are you talking about? The ones my mate has uses velcro mounting tabs.
^ No zip ties?
^ Unrelated but I like the pic
Ah, bar mount zips
