  • I've got same problem with my frame. I e-mailed to Colnago couple weeks ago but they haven't replied back. Can someone help me out with this one:

I have stripped off the paint and there is Brev. Campagnolo stamps on the dropouts and also on the cable clamps on top of the bottom bracket. There is also Columbus stamps on the tubing. The original paint seems to be red as there was some left in the bottom bracket.

The frame is pretty similar to this one: http://forestbikes.blogspot.com/2008/02/1973-colnago-super-without-paint.html except the lugs on my frame are slightly different.

I hope someone can help me out.

    Thanks!

  • bump.?

  • really nice frameset

  • That's not a Colly, which is why you can't find any info on it.

    It's actually a re-badged Huffy CrapCan.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news. The only solace I can offer is to take it off your hands for £20 coz I quite like the saddle and you don't see many around anymore. I'm robbin' myself at that, but I feel your pain.

  • seems pretty legit to me, severely doubt respray with so many decals/detail. if it has the funny shaped tubing thats one expensive frame.

  • I don't think the second frame you linked to is gilco tubing? I might be just looking at it incorrectly. That doesn't help of course. No serial number?

  • it is a colnago master pista by the looks of it

not really rare but very nice nonetheless

  • if it's a master then why does it say 'competition' and not 'master' as with any other master.?

    • the master has chromed lugs, mine doesnt..?

As with the respray, dont know if its possible, but i imagine if you have it resprayed real properly you get all the decals with it..? Could also explain the lack of chrome luggings, but then again if you'd have such a proper respray, you'd leave the lugs chrome rite.?

  • need to see the lugs that connect to the headtube

  • lugs dont have to be chrome on a master, i have had several masters without chromed lugs, the master is the only one they made with the Gilco tubing afaik,

its a Colnago master competition :)

  • looks like a rauler?

the club shape isn't correct...the stem on the club is 'veed'...ie isn't flat, I am sure it should be flat for colnago.
