Well done..I saw that machine....731 o/s is a superb tube-set..over-size and light...and lloyd's are damned fine frame..i have a 753 o/s....

Can't go wrong at that kinda dough...

Thanks, I don't know much about 731, going to try and find a bit of info today. Not much written about it from a quick search... Can't wait till it arrives.

There is..with a bit of digging a review of the tubing in the form of a two Machine test from an American Magazine..I am certain they built two identical frames..one from 731..and the other may have been Columbus El o/s or was it a later Columbus tubeset?

I researched it when I picked up a 731 o/s race bike I have here.(along with a EL o/s bike too).

Ahhh yeah, I just read that. They built 2 identical bikes, one from 731 and one from Columbus Genius. My friend's got a genius tubeset and it's incredible, if this is half as nice I'll be a happy man.

Ah you just found it..drat..went looking for the article and found it for you..but you beat me..and have already perused it...i think they liked the 731 frame 'overall' IF I remember correctly?

Genius is superb too eh?..I think i now have bikes in 'almost all tubes' except Genius...

I think I have Tange...I picked up a Specialized Allez..and I believe it might be Tange/ it's o/s tubes...similar to 731 o/s and EL o/s dim's...

Most of Lloyd's frame I have stumbled upon are 653/753...etc so you never know?

Been gathering them for a while now...on Friday my buddy (non cyling addict) asked me how many I have..you know it's bad and out of hand when you don't know the answer..so I came home and worked it out...ouch!(madness)

Going to thin out some that I don't want..to concentrate on the ones I do...

Have a Flying Gate touring frame..stunning Rossin..etc to shift when the weathers decent for just 5 mins (yeah right!) to grab some images with anything other than my 'crapberry..

i dont think it is you know mattty. the lugs and fork crown look a bit better than the usual free with four bags of shopping eddie murks

Sadly...just 7 or so of 22 bikes and 10 frames... just useless with computers..to get more images up...although can mail from my Blackberry to email accounts.

I could very well be wrong - I'm just going on the main decals on the downtube. I couldn't see any markings on the fork crowns, but maybe your eyesight is better than mine :)
