    Is the benefit of carbon just in terms of weight. In which case as has been pointed out I might as well save and get a complete carbon frame.
    Or is there a handling adv to carbon?
    I was thinking of enve 65 clinchers.

    You will notice weight dropped from your wheels more than from your frame. Rotational weight counts twice.

    65mm is pretty deep for road use. You will experiance some aero benifits at high speed, allowing you to maintain these speeds slightly easier. But this energy saved, will likely be used up fighting crosswinds anyway.

    I'd go with the 45's.
