i have tried all methods!!! ened up trying the cut it out method..then with caustic soda got anoyed hammer, its not to drastic as it was a free frame GT outpost trail MTB. Wanted to make a single speed hak bike but the seat post bit on the frame that sticks up(hope that makes sence) is now split. and the seat post inside is just a mangeled messsss :(

i should have just taken it to brixton bikes.

Not sure if I've understood your problem/damage correctly but had a similar thing happen to me lately. Brixton Cycles are my usual first point of call but they couldn't shift it as it was stuck in due to galvanic corrosion (when the Aluminium and steel corrode together). Took it to Mend A Bike the other side of Putney bridge and they heated up the frame and got it out easy. Cost £20 all in - including protective paint job after burning the paint off (which is the only way they can do it). Doesn't look as brilliant as it once did but I'm no longer stuck with a useless frame.
