As my story above indicates, the X 54 is pretty damned good. I have mine mounted on the seat tube just fine.
The only downside is it's not a particularly pretty thing to have mounted there. But hey ho...
If the Stolen Bikes thread is anything to go by, the Steel-O-Flex is next to useless.
