The track ball on my Nexus 1 has stopped working- is there a straightforward way of backing the handset up before asking for a replacement?

There's Titanium Backup and My Backup Pro. If it's rooted Ti Backup will backup everything, if not you probably won't get your apps reinstalled and will have to install them again (the paid for ones will already be paid for).
