Android phones, apps and tablets

I've just borked mine. I'm trying to install it manually using the adb shell at the moment.
The r9 ROM I'm using won't auto update gmail. I'll have a look when (if) I finish.

Installed gmail 2.3, first time I'd done so by scanning a barcode from my pc, very clever that. Have deleted my account settings from the HTC client so i'll see how it goes. Don't need emails instantly but some need a response within the hour say, so on the HTC one I had it set to check for emails every 10 min between 08:00 and 20:00 and every hour outside those times.
