• One of the risks of the Olympics has always been that in the end there would be actual loss of facilities in London. I suspect we still won't have a world class atheletics stadium and we won't have any more 50m pools than we did in 2007; big pools really matter to swimmers .

    Cycling, having lost the Eastway will now loose HH , but the replacement will be elite facilites with limited access. Yes, there will be the Velopark, but I want to see the contracts signed before I believe that will happen.

    Yes , I know Hogg Hill replaced the Eastway, but its not really become a London track , not in the way the Eastway was.

    Will the olympics actually mean there is no real increase in facilties for cycle sport I london? I fear they may. So save HH , build the Velo park and keep Hogg Hill.
