That dj/commentator was fucking annoying.
I spotted a load of roadie types unloading their posh bikes about 1/2 a mile away, which they then proceeded to walk around the start/finish area. Bike show-offs. -

I really want one of these (Rapha Tour of Britain top) - they are selling them from their little van on the final four stages (so that's today's, tomorrow's, Friday and Saturday).
I can't get to any of these, could anyone pick one up for me? Can pay the thank you in pints, cakes, pharmaceuticals, whatever you want really! I would be supremely grateful.
Rapha did these 4 or 5 years ago. Does your Rapha mailshot come via carrier pigeon?

Thanks for trying spenceey! I did PM eggpie and he informed me that they were produced in 2005...
But don't worry, I've found someone who assures me he can get hold of one:
I couldn't see them anywhere yesterday mate, even asked around and no one knew what I was asking for.
I've tried online and can't find them for sale either :(
Actually all my post goes by ship to Tristan da Cunha, is sorted, then comes back again ;)

Had a nice time - took my little girl who was more than happy to clap the riders and chase bidons... which is a good start seeing as she's not quite 2. Expected more people and merch/catering tbh but access to the team buses etc was great. Laughed at all the people queing up for hours to get a glimpse of Team Sky when Renshaw et al were happily floating around chatting with anyone.

Was cool to be THAT close to the peloton - some lovely bikes being pushed around too..

i was just walking round and round the team busses like a kid trying to get my gf to pose for pics with the riders. i got a smile from richie port cheering him on as he made his way back to the team bus from signing on:)
such a cool feature of cycling that you can rub shoulders with the best guys in the sport moments before a race. -

^------ Looks like new-age fun with a vintage feel up there!
Enjoyed the race this year. In contrast to the other posters I thought Dean Downing was quite 'sweet' on TV and enjoyed Graham Jones's commentary. Having the race director commentating gives a good insight on what he was trying to do when he designed the route.
Great to have the race becoming more and more high profile and attracting the bigger teams, the only downside is that it probably means the domestic and smaller teams will find it harder and harder to get much coverage in the race. It was awesome last year when Thomas de Gent smashed it off the front every stage; I wonder where he was this year. Having said that, Endura seemed to do pretty well.

Good stage today, free Rapha coffee is always good :)
Did nobody manage to put Rapha stickers on the Sky bus?
[/disappointed]

Looks like a copy of Le Coq Sportif top (colours inverted) here's me wearing one in Cannes back in 1996.

Starting in Peebles. I wonder if I can scam a ride up there, watch the start, and then get some mountain biking in.
Hmmmm. Anyone going to watch?

Yes.
On TV.
Maybe.

I see what you did there.
I saw a few fixiefixies. Including a brakless pady wagon with no foot retention "owned" and ridden by a 12 year old boy. Hmmm.....
Knackering day I am pooped.
