Android phones, apps and tablets

Can you change the settings get the phone to wake up from timeout by another method than pressing the power button. E.g. pressing any of the buttons at the bottom of the phone? If so, how?

good one, I'd be interested in this too, for some reason I find it a bit of a pain doing this via power button
