Hopefully the man will still be reasonable when he has to pay for a new frame and any parts that were damaged. He sounds like he is being ok about it but remember; just because he is nice does not mean you should pay for his mistake. You are only asking for what you are owed so please do not let him off.
Did you get his details; phone number, car registration? Details of any witnesses? Just in case he does not show up tomorrow.
As Steff says you have learned a painful lesson about cycle lanes and about cycling too close to cars. Stay the width of a car door away from any parked car at all times. I am going to suggest you think about getting Cycle Training; you can get it for free or less than £10 and it will help you avoid situations like this in the future and you will be, and feel, safer.
