Very true; in fact you could argue it probably happens less now because media coverage (and to an extent international law) have improved. When Russia talks of its liberation of Berlin it doesn't like to mention the way its troops raped their way across the city. Anyone who thinks Mai Lai was unique is living in a fantasy world. And so on and so on.
