A lovely evening. By the end we were the only people in the pub. nice.
On the way home I decided it looked nice and so next week we will be at The Hemmingway on Victoria Park Rd.
Now, to explain this chairman business. This is something I hope will keep going as it is way cool. There was a Monopoly 'chance' card on the table which said "You have been elected Chairman of the board" I had the Chairman card and did not have to buy a drink almost all night.
Therefore to formalise this process, as outgoing chairman I establish the following rules.
one person is the chairman. They have the Chairman card.
Every time anyone buys a round, however small, they offer the chairman a drink.
The chairman may refuse a drink, and they may of course buy a round of their own.
The chairman's only duties are to hold the names-in-a-hat election for the next week's chairman.
The sitting chairman may not put their own name in the hat. No person may be chairman for 2 weeks in a row.
The punishment for buying a round that did not include the chairman is to not have your name in the hat for the following week.
two names should be drawn - chairman and vice chairman. In the event of the chairman being indisposed the vice chairman should take their place.
I will laminate the card.
Next week's chairman is Betty, with Eggpie as vice chairman.
what if you don't like the chairman?
what if you can afford to buy anyone else a drink?
would'nt this exclude others who aren't interested in playing but just wished to hang out?
i don't mean to ruin the ideas or proceedings but just wondering
