It's not having any spacers, the Look has a 165mm head tube compared with 100mm on the Koga
i was referring to your diagram for the koga

could i use 25.8mm bars in a 26mm stem? I know its not ideal, but there are some nice 3ttt ergos in the planet x sale, only in 25.8. My stem's 3ttt which makes me think it might be ok, also 0.2mm isn't even postcard width right so can it make a huge diff?
yep, i've done it loads of times.
EDIT: infact i'm using 25.4 bars in a 26mm stem atm -

Same here.
'Beercan shims' or just tape up the clamping section a bit, if sliding. -

The diagram is a comparison of Koga (100mm head tube, 12cm +23° stem) vs. Look (165mm head tube, 11cm -10° stem) to show that my bar position doesn't change when I do the frame swap. It's not completely accurate, because the Look has a 15mm longer effective top tube, so the reach is a bit more, which is a good thing.

25.8 = 26, it's not an actual difference, it's a rounding error, like the perennial 31.7 (Deda) vs. 31.8 (everybody else). Most bars aren't even round to within ±0.1mm

Had my first build finished for a while now, Gazelle champion mondial that i bought off here through Tel. First time on SS and loving it at the moment. Next thing on the shopping list is a nice comfy Brooks. . .
Also just finished my attempt at a home made messenger bag, pretty crude, no liner, but it worked fine on a normal sewing maching. Just bought Cordura and thread and used old buckles etc. from an old ski backpak

Possibly the most blatant act of bicycle miscegenation in history.

I'd have left the 27s on if I were you, looks a bit cavernous inbetween the frame and wheels now.
27's only have a 4mm larger radius than 700s, tyres and mudguards make more of a difference

Glad you got it, Jamie. All it needs is retention, post and saddle, bartape, wheels and chain right?
Sweet.

Good work bensud - nice first time effort.
scorch - your act of bicycle miscegenation is brilliant - sticking two fingers up to the cycling establishment. I, for one, salute you.

• #34623
yep some would find it offensive but I like it!

Edward, why so upright? Is it a flexibility issue? What stem is that? I see Deda, looks nice.

I really like that nago, think the paint job looks sweet! would prefer quill stem though.
