Henry, mate. Trying your luck on here. Should have sold me at 195.
-
• #53
well, i paid the buyer to release me from the sale
How much did he pay you?

Seriously what is the problem here? Its a nice frame. £260 is not a ridiculous price, esp considering the condition and colour.
(plus there are plenty of overpriced bits sold by the more popular members that nobody seems to comment on).
So what if he fucked up and forgot to set a reserve (prolly bc of the cost tho). Whatever the reason, his poor ebay tactics meant he paid money to get out of the sale (love to know how much btw)... potential buyer hasn't really lost anything. So why all this agro?

The same frame + cranks and bars sold for a lot less that £260....
Surely the market determines the value?

That one is made from Columbus tubing, is a different size, and has matching forks
Definitely different, probably a better package overall -

Fucksake guys, someone can sell something wherever they wan't and for how much they wan't, they don't owe anyone anything so quit moaning.
I was at the receiving end of this sort of faffing and I really didn't care as much as some of you lot who are not directly involved...
A frame was on sale here (a nice 55cm Holdsworth if that rings any bells) and I offered less than the asking price but more than the other offers, the seller ummed and arrred and eventually said- "sorry, i'm going to try and get what I think it's worth on ebay" so popped it on there. It then sold for less than I offered and a month or so after that ebay sale it reappeared on here for a new lower price (less than I offered) from the same seller and promptly sold (not to me as I had since found an alternative).
I was disappointed to miss out on it but I didn't have a big whinge, it was the selllers frame to do what he pleased with, he didn't owe me a damn thing. It's a bike frame, for sale, on the internet, if it bother's you that much you should probably get outside more...

It bothers me that people think they can use this place just to make money.
He should have sold it for the amount it went for on ebay, and to the highest bidder.
Lacking in Moral Fibre.

Yup. Thhis is why ebay is rubbish, because people don't follow the rules.

Get over it and leave the guy alone.
Rules are for squares. -

looking for me?? refunding £10.... sounds like the only winner is paypal afterall.
and offering £200. £5 more than ebay??!! just don't go down to a pub one night and here you go.
chrisbmx said it right. It is the seller's choice afterall. Andy.w also made a point. It is the moral on doing business. it is the trust that is lost.

And also, sell it what you believe in. If 260 is the price you think that it is worth, stick with it and sell it at that price.
