• when I was in L.A in a coffee shop, out of the 15 people working on laptops, 11 were working on macs, apples have gone from being plucky underdogs, used by people who liked the OS and the ease of use, and the fact that they could be a little eccentric and different just by using a computer that wasnt a PC, through the success of the ipod and the iphone to a ubiquitous electronic product whose appeal now encompasses, a whole new slew of tribes, most of which are thought of as being cunts.
I've used macs and pc's most of my working life, and I'll never pay money for a pc, just can't do it, (though I may have to get a small netbook for writing the novel in south east asia) know they are cheaper, more adaptable, but they just are such hard work to figure out most of the time.
In so saying saw the ipad and it is a luscious piece of kit, but I just bought a new macbook so can't afford it, and there is a bit too much overlap with a laptop in the home.
