You've been here a month. Not exactly covered yourself in glory to date have you?

Jonnyrau......recently begged for a dawes galaxy for his little brother on this thread
http://www.cyclechat.net/topic/65961-free-dawes-galaxy-swindon/Look what is for sale
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Dawes-Galaxy-Reynolds-531-Bike-/170534710168?pt=UK_Bikes_GL&hash=item27b4a92b98Second time he has been caught doing this. Not to be trusted in the slightest
This really has nothing to do with this forum or you.

making profit off the generosity of the community, not cool.
I've had a big rant about this before and I'm not going to do it again but maybe think a little in the future before selling things/dibbing freebies.

andy w - it has a lot to do with this forum as many people frequent various bike forums, it is all the same community.
Jonnyrau, it has everything to do with you.

guys, this is OT, but i think it's a good place to ask
when parcel is being delivered to or within UK by parcelforce service, is it signed-for? is it delivered to an actual home address? how does parcelforce actually knows it's been delivered and how is that notified in their systems?
i'm asking this because I'm about to send something out to UK and want to avoid any funny situations
thanks -

This really has nothing to do with this forum or you.
But it does point to overall character and behaviour.

I think that is what most people would have a problem with. Others may disagree, but to me that is closely skirting the line of the "don't be a dick" rule.
And jonnyrau - next time get your brother to do his own dirty work. As you can see, it does reflect poorly on you.

NOTHING TO DO WITH ME! I no longer have the bike. I gave it to my brother for free and have told him he shouldn't list it otherwise he gets me in this kind of shit!

Your brother seems to be doing a good trade in vintage bike parts...

True, however it is not for us to police other forum.
Nobody seems to be questioning anything he/she has sold/bought on here. Sounds like sour grapes to me.

shit, not very good news... "We deliver to an address, not a named individual..."

Well i cant really say anything, once it has been for selling parts for higher prices than i bought them for... hardly a crime id say.
You were given these parts for free with the knowledge that you were going to use them for a project.
Seriously racking up the douchebag points for 1: doing the stuff you have done and 2: not even maning up and admitting to it.
I think you owe a few big donations to a number of forums mate

Items in my above post were sold here.

So jonnyrau = douchebag. Agreed?

Personally, I don't take see that as policing other forums, I see it as policing this forum using reputation gained elsewhere. If he's got a dodgy history elsewhere, then in all likelihood he's unlikely to be a saint here.
If ipokecows or his acquaintances has had issues in the past dealing with jonnyrau elsewhere then alerting the forum to potential issues here is worthwhile.
As I have mentioned before, this is the Internet, your reputation will follow you around 10,000 times faster than it would in the real world. At the end of the day, jonnyrau is responsible for his own reputation.

Until he screws up on here I think he should be left alone.

• #167
Ive only made profit on freebies once and i havent done it again, the rest of the stuff i have bought and sold on. I regret that it does reflect badly on me but all i cant do much im afraid. As i said before i will be offering freebies myself soon, maybe even today when i get round to it. I won't start moaning when you start selling the shit.
-
• #168
Reading jonnyrau's posts is like listening to Blair talk about the Iraq war, we all know that it stinks just they aren't man enough to admit it.

You rebuild your reputation one transaction at a time.
As i said before i will be offering freebies myself soon, maybe even today when i get round to it.
Gotta start somewhere.
I won't start moaning when you start selling the shit.
I would never take freebies and sell them on in the first place. I think most people would deeply resent your implication.
Worth repeating: you rebuild your reputation one transaction at a time.

Then you've not really understood this place have you?

• #171
Hi Jonny,
Just wondering if you've had a chance to post my items?
-
• #172
I have already admitted i was wrong to take a freebie and sell it, I have already apologised about that. I just wanna make amends and start again.
-
• #173
wow those people on cyclechat really hate you. keep up the good work.

Jonnyrau ....it seems you have a bad reputation with the CTC forum as well. I must say sir, to be known as a dodgy dealer on every prominant uk cycling forum is quite some acheivement
-
• #175
thanks montage for that constructive comment
Well i cant really say anything, once it has been for selling parts for higher prices than i bought them for... hardly a crime id say.
The other time was for not selling bike i put on here , hardly a crime either.
Now this one has got nothing to do with me.
