Dreadlocks and riding

Perhaps some people justneed a focal point for their prejudices. They might as well pick on spinster librarians from Nuneaton as red heads or Welsh people. At least there are fewer spinster librarians in Nuneaton that there are red heads or Welsh people and so fewer people might take offence.

I use the example of spinster librarians from Nuneaton as the ghastly and prejudiced Auberon Waugh once said that he wrote all of his articles with a spinster librarian from Nuneaton in mind and with his writing sought to offend her. I suspect that unmarried female librarians in Nuneaton are more robust that Waugh might have imagined but it kept him happy.
