The thread started by me was not spam.

Unless I am secretly employed by them and working on the most fucked up viral marketing campaign.

Ah, I didn't stop and check. I was just catching up on all the stuff this morning and made the assumption that it was a spam thread which everyone was reacting to (which is usually the case) rather than an out of the blue rant (which happens less often) so was quite happy to nuke.
