I may drop in. But I will be on the Princess's third-place bike, complete with rust spots and gears. It's lucky she's 5'11, I get to steal her bikes when I need one.

Need to get a cheap front wheel and possibly some new forks to get mine sorted. Which sucks. :-( Might see if I can cannibalise her old bike to fix mine, or possibly use this as an excuse to get my old Raleigh fixer-up project rolling. Just a shame it's the week before payday though. I poor!

Cheap front wheel = Decathlon, £20! OK so its Q/R but i ran one for nigh on a year with no issues till i had the spare cash to build a track front wheel up. Just a suggestion?

@OSR Thanks. That's ideal. In fact, I might buy the rear as well and slap them on the Raleigh - 45 quid for a wheel set should make it suitably unattractive to bike thieves. They've got them in the Surrey Quays store, so if they're still there next week when I get paid, I might drop down and buy.

No worries buddy, in fact i had the rear aswell on my ancient Raleigh (small world eh!) and ran one of those single speed kits with the spacers etc. Very good wheels for the money, never had any issues. Incidentally the rims are Rigida Flyers which are French made and very good quality.
