have to agree with plinth, i frequently suggest people raise or lower saddles, oil their change, true their wheels
for me these are the things which cause people to experience less pleasure on their bikes, they are clearly not serious about having fun
I did a mini service on a guy at works ancient ATB. Classic horizontal TT'd ATB with rigid steel fork and old canti's. Simply fine tuned his brakes and gears, added much lube, tighten some allen bolts, and filled his tyres to the right PSI. He said the next day he had decided against ditching it now.
Makes me wonder if I want to replace my car, more because I dont know how to look after it, more then because its actually crap. Actually its a Opel, so its probably crap.
