I walked out on a mesenger a year or two ago on Torrington Place, cars only travel one way, cyclists have their own lane for bi-directional travel.
It was most bizarre while i was looking left and stepping out i heard "screeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeech grunt, groan, puff, pant". i looked to the right as i was curious what the noise very close to my right ear had been. I was confronted by a red faced, sweaty messenger, both hands in a vice like grip on his brakes (glad he had them or i woulda be T-Boned) in the middle of a track stand. I yelped with fright, which seemed to cheer him up, i apologised, he went on his way.
TBH i deservered to be clattered
Edit: However the guy riding the bike in the above clip was/is a twat for what he said, but the guy who got hit should have looked both ways, i always do now even on a OWS :)
